Contributing to a Recycling-Based Society through our Steelmaking Materials Operations
We engage in the domestic sales and import/export of key steelmaking raw materials, including steel scrap and pig iron as well as subsidiary materials such as graphite electrodes. About 30% of the iron and steel products in Japan is made by recycling steel scrap, one of the few resources available in Japan. We also believe the recycling of steel scrap helps to protect the global environment.
